Joseph P. Cravero is a Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School and the Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. He is trained in General Pediatrics, Anesthesiology, and Pediatric Anesthesiology. During his career, his clinical work has focused on optimizing sedation, anesthesia, and pain control for children. He is the founder and former chairman of the Pediatric Sedation Research Consortium and of the Society for Pediatric Sedation. His research interests are focused on multi-center collaboratives and evaluation of large datasets concerning pediatric health care.
