Important Travel Advice

Due to the planned nationwide public transport strike in the Netherlands on 9 September, we advise all participants travelling to Maastricht on this date to make alternative travel arrangements wherever possible.

Due to budget limitations in combination with the complexity of coordinating arrivals from all over the world, the Organising Committee is unfortunately unable to provide a shuttle service for the PROSA2026 delegates.

We kindly ask all delegates travelling to Maastricht on 9 September to arrange their onward transportation in advance. As increased travel demand may result in longer journey times and reduced availability of transport services, we strongly recommend booking early wherever possible.

Available Travel Options

Rental Car
Car rental services are available at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Eindhoven Airport, Brussels Airport, and Düsseldorf Airport. Driving to Maastricht takes approximately:

  • Schiphol Airport: 2.5 to 3 hours
  • Eindhoven Airport: 1.5 hours
  • Brussels Airport: 1.5 to 2 hours
  • Düsseldorf Airport: 1.5 hours

Taxi or Private Transfer
Taxi and chauffeur services can provide direct transportation to Maastricht from all major airports. While generally the most expensive option, this may be convenient for delegates travelling in groups or with large amounts of luggage.

Shared Transfers and Carpooling
Delegates are encouraged to coordinate travel with colleagues or fellow attendees arriving at similar times. Sharing a taxi, rental car, or private transfer can significantly reduce costs.

KLM Bus Service
Passengers travelling with KLM may be eligible to use the complimentary KLM bus service connecting Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and Maastricht. Availability depends on ticket conditions and flight itineraries.
