Vera Tomassen is the proud mom of 2 daughters. Her youngest is a special needs child but remains undiagnosed. Vera is also a freelance (copy)writer, blogger and public speaker. She is the founder of ‘Mantelmama’, a Dutch online platform for families with special needs children.
This platform is not only followed by families dealing with similar situations, but also by doctors, hospitals, therapists and specialists. As she is fighting to find her way in the special needs jungle, Vera writes blogs and columns about her adventures, which are posted in English on ‘Simply Different – Momblog’. She gives talks and presentations about her personal experience as a special needs mom to help improve care for special needs children.
