Dr Rose-Marie Daly is a Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry in private practice in Dublin. She graduated from University College Cork in 2003 and completed specialty training in Paediatric Dentistry in Leeds in the UK in 2009. She obtained a Specialist Membership in Paediatric Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and a Fellowship in Paediatric Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2009. She was awarded a Masters of Law in Medical Law and Ethics from the University of Edinburgh in 2015.
She provides a referral service for paediatric patients who are compromised in relation to their dental care for reasons such as young age, autism, intellectual disability, dental anxiety, needle phobia, generalised anxiety and sensory processing issues. She treats children with non-pharmacological techniques, inhalation sedation and general anaesthetic.
Her LLM dissertation examined oral health care in Ireland in relation to compliance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). She advocates for paediatric oral health in Ireland and believes strongly in helping parents understand the importance of oral health, preventive care and early visits for children. She currently serves the Clinical Advisory Committee of the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry.
