PEDIATRIC SEDATION PROVIDER COURSE 2024

A collaboration between PROSA-network and the Society for Pediatric Sedation (SPS)

On the day before the PROSA2024 conference, the 2nd Pediatric Sedation Provider Course 2024 will take place.

This full day course offers a hands-on advanced training in pediatric procedural sedation and has been specifically designed for pediatricians, anesthesiologists, emergency physicians, and specialized nurses.

DATE: Wednesday September 11, 2024 (9:00-17:00)

VENUE: Simulation Training Centre – Maastricht University Medical Centre. Maastricht – The Netherlands. This location is just a few walking minutes away from the PROSA2024 conference venue.

CONTENT: The course features high-fidelity scenario training, interactive workshops, and reflective group discussions. Learning objectives encompass PSA-related quality and safety, emergency management, deep sedation administration, capnography interpretation, process control, trust-based communication, and the implementation of procedural comfort care.

FACULTY: Ten experienced instructors (see below) from diverse professional backgrounds with extensive expertise in pediatric procedural sedation. For this edition instructors from the PROSA network will collaborate with senior simulation trainers of the Society for Pediatric Sedation (https://pedsedation.org/).

REGISTRATION AND SELECTION PROCESS: This course is intended for professionals who have already some experience with procedural sedation. Given the limited number of participants, interested professionals need to apply via the following link:

Applicants will be selected based on their profession and sedation expertise. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 30 people.

Cost and Payment: €450,- (including access to the SPS e-learning modules, full day training and catering)

Accreditation and Certificate: Accreditation will be sought for Dutch professionals, and all participants will receive a certificate of participation upon completion.
