Sophie Ebbeler works as a psychologist (GZ-psychologist in training for specialist) in the Haaglanden Medisch Centrum in The Hague since 2013. She has a study background in child and adolescent psychology at Leiden University. Sophie has experience in treating medical trauma and somatoform and functional disorders. She works closely with paediatricians, child life specialists and other staff to prevent pain and fear in the hospital setting. EMDR and hypnotherapy are examples of her treatment options for children aged from 0-23 who are anxious or traumatised in the medical setting.
