Sophie Verbeek (the Netherlands, 1981), MSc has been working in the field of child psychology since 2007, currently working as a pediatric psychologist at the Emma Children's hospital in Amsterdam. Her areas of interest are: coping with (chronic) illness, medically unexplained symptoms and medical traumatic stress. She is a board member at PROSA Kenniscentrum; a centre of expertise for trauma- free medical care for children.
